Better Fishing Academy

The Better Fishing Academy will once again be running a series of fishing clincs covering the majority of fishing techniques necessary to enjoy success on our waters. Each session will be led by experienced tutors and are aimed at existing anglers wishing to improve their fishing skills and knowledge. We would encourage newcomers to angling to attend one of our excellent coaching sessions.

Our aim is to provide a complete pathway into all aspects of coarse fishing which will hopefully help people become lifelong anglers.

The provisional dates for the 2026 program are :

Saturday 11th April 10am - 2pm. Float fishing for Carp at Willmotts.
Saturday 25th April 8am - 12 noon. Lure Fishing at Froxfield Canal.
Saturday 9th May 7am - 11am. Specimen Tench Fishing at Farnham Flint.
Wednesday 20th May 5pm - 9pm. Specimen Carp fishing at Cottage Lane.
Saturday 8th August 8am - 12 noon. Stick float fishing at Theale river.
Wednesday 19th August 5pm - 9pm. Barbel fishing at Lower Benyons.
Saturday 12th September 9am - 1pm. Feeder/Bolo/Whip & Waggler fishing at South Stoke River Thames.
Saturday 17th October 8am - 12 noon. Pike fishing at Farnham Flint.
