Welcome to the new Junior page.

We will be holding Angling sessions for beginners right through to providing tuition and matches for the more experienced junior. These sessions will be run in partnership with nacro who supply CRB checked volunteers and officially qualified coaches for the sessions.

All sessions will be free of charge to RDAA Junior members .

Spaces are limited so pre booking is essential any one turning up on the day without making prior arrangements could well find themselves unable to partake due to safety of our learners.

Sessions for non RDAA members will require a small payment of 50 pence per session per angler, after 4 sessions as such, we will then look into moving you into the RDAA juniors and as such purchasing a permit thus opening up many more venues to be fished with the new confidence gained from attending the taster and development sessions. Junior permits vary in price but are around £13.00 for the year depending on the club.

Consent forms (downloaded from this site or obtained directly from  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) must be filled out and returned to the afore mentioned email addresses or handed in on the day. RDAA members need only do this once.

All participants over the age of twelve will be required to hold a valid Environment Agency Rod licence (£5.00 per year).

All equipment will be provided including bait but those with their own equipment may bring and use it. Parents will be encouraged to participate and create the type of atmosphere that other kids will see and want to join in. Parent and child teams will be encouraged to attend matches with trophies provided.

We will expand from Cottage Lane Lakes and Longwater Lake to go on to other lakes , canals and rivers.

RDAA Junior members will have their own Forum page where they can ask questions of our experienced coaches (see below)

This will give opportunities for young boys and girls to learn to fish.  They will be taught and supervised by fully qualified angling coaches.

Forum :- This page will only be available to RDAA Junior permit holders and they will need to download the registration form, complete and post. You will then receive by e-mail a password which will give you access to your own Forum.
