FISH DEATHS

Postby alanhughes on Sat Jul 24, 2010 4:49 pm

Following last Wednesdays pollution on Silchester Brook we were informed today that the pollution would enter Reading via Foudry Brook. Several small fish were seen on the surface looking for air and a couple of jack pike were moved downstream. The E.A. have been dosing the Brook with Hydrogen Peroxide and deployed aeration equipment in Green Park to boost D.O. levels. They think the worst is over but the report can be seen below.

Hopefully this will not effect the junior sessions coming up on tuesday at long water, we had to cut short the the session on saturday due to this.
you can catch a fish of a lifetime but you can also fish for a lifetime
