left home this morning at 5.30hrs drove to sonning

me and the g friends brother arrived at the river and got the gear out of the car and headed to our swims

set the feeder rod up with ground bait feeder and double maggott and i caster on a size 12 hook

i waited till about 1 hr before i got my 1st bite the rod doubled over and as i was playing the fish it spat the hook out never seen the fish but the way it went it could have been a barbel

so alex in the next peg had a bite and he lost a fish as well

so at about 8 ish alex got his 1st bream of the day 6lb and then a 5lb 8oz and 6lb

i got 1 bream 5lb 8 oz
we packed in and headed home

at least the rain stayed off and got a tan

glad to hear the bream are coming out of the thames at sonning....perhaps they could tell those at mpd to get a move on

it was not easy today on the river had 5 bites and landed one fish lost 2 at the net g friends brother had 3 bream
